Problem
Emberhaus needed launch visuals for its made-to-order charcoal oven before a production unit existed. Working in partnership with House Metcalf, the goal was to build a brand around one idea: Fire Therapy. Using engineering CAD, early prototype photos, and physical finish samples, we needed to make the oven feel real and refined while bringing its hidden engineering into view.
Solution
We treated the oven as a design object first and an appliance second, building a photoreal 3D model Cinema 4D and Redshift. Sculpted light, slow motion, fire, and embers pushed the visuals beyond realism where the product called for more drama. That same model let us show how the oven works, bringing its design and engineering together in one visual language.
Realism started with materials. Every finish in the collection was matched against its physical sample, down to how each coating catches light. Fire was the hardest problem: flame and embers had to hold up in slow-motion close-ups without tipping into CG spectacle. Look development across finishes, environments and lighting set a calm, architectural direction that carried from the website’s hero loop through every feature film.
The engineering story was told through motion. Airflow diagrams show how the Emberflow vents and ceramic deflectors move heat through the chamber. X-ray loops reveal the insulation and thermal mass behind the oven’s temperature stability, and an exploded view breaks the assembly into its engineered parts. A configurator render library covered every finish and trim. All assets were delivered on schedule for the website launch, then carried into social campaigns, the owner’s manual, and 3D shots for the brand films. Every touchpoint shows the same oven, built the same way.
